March 2019 Market Update

So far this year, sales volume has been well below seasonal norms, at least relative to the extraordinary market conditions we’ve experienced in Vancouver over the last 15+ years. What was going to determine whether this would turn into a softening of the prices was the amount of supply. As we enter the spring those numbers are starting to grow. However, if you take closer look, there are still plenty of pockets where there is not a lot of choice for buyers, whether it is  a particular location or a more unique type of property which is always in short supply. 

As a homeowner, this is when those decisions you have made over the years to be more selective when buying will pay off. Equally, as a first time or move up buyer, this is an exciting time. The power has shifted in your favour and with choice comes possibility.  Obviously it still requires a very considered approach but with the right guide there are opportunities out there right now which we have not seen in years and this too shall pass!
