CATCHING THEM BEFORE THEY FALL

For the past 20+ years, I have been committed to initiatives to support the most vulnerable in our community. I am continuing my support of Union Gospel Mission (UGM) as a donor, fundraiser and volunteer.

My primary focus is on kids, youth and families in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. UGM’s newly opened Women and Families Centre will allow them to expand their programs for kids and youth. I will match any donation made by my clients, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per transaction. 100% of donations go to the Women and Families Centre at UGM. Income tax receipts are available for donations over $25.

Supporter of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation

2007

Established the “Home For Everyone” initiative, in which clients could choose from four local chaities dedicated to providing shelter for those in need. I matched their donations up to $1,000 per transaction.

One of three nominees nationally for Royal LePage Philanthropist of the Year.

2008

Royal LePage Shelter Foundation—British Columbia Individual of the year.

2007 to date

Fundraiser/Donor for UGM—commission % donations, client events, “Dinners at the Mission”, client donation matching.

2009 to date

Volunteer at UGM—Eastsiders After School Program, Individual Teen Mentor, Meal Service.
