January 13, 2025Interest rates have continued to drop, the volume of sales has grown, and values have stabilized. First time buyers have been trickling back in and more will likely follow after the most recent cuts. Upward pressure on prices seems inevitable in most non-luxury sectors of the Vancouver market as we move towards the spring next year. So if you are considering jumping into or up the market, I would strongly encourage you to start the process sooner than later.
Typically there is more choice in the spring, but there is also more competition from other buyers which may mean paying more. The challenge is finding the right property early enough in the cycle and having the confidence to commit to it ahead of the crowd. Hiring the right agent, with the most experience, knowledge, connections and understanding of the specific market that you are focused on, is critical to giving you that confidence and ensuring your eventual success.
