Day to day we help people make the right decision about real estate investments. Though for some of us, a dream home isn’t bricks and mortar – it’s about safety. This is why we’ve chosen to donate a portion of every dollar we earn to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, which is dedicated to ending violence against women and children.

Our donations have been supporting Union Gospel Mission’s women and family programs since 2007 and specifically, The Sanctuary program since 2014.  Located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (one of Canada’s poorest neighbourhoods), The Sanctuary gives single women and women with newborn babies the safety and support they need to get their lives back from addiction, violence and homelessness.

The Sanctuary bridges the gaps – between detox and recovery, and recovery and supportive housing. In addition to receiving around-the-clock care, each woman works with a counselor to craft a plan for her next steps. This includes trauma-informed counselling, grief support, health & wellness education, art therapy, advocacy, and spiritual care.

The Sanctuary is changing lives. In the first two years 182 women (22 with babies) received 24/7 care and support. Of these, 126 (or 70%!) successfully moved onto their next stage, whether a long-term addiction recovery program or supportive housing…and a brighter future!

Will you help us give these women and babies the chance for a better tomorrow?

We will match any donation made by our clients, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per transaction.
Thank you for making life-saving hope like this possible!
